Civitavecchia
(Rome) Italy - The Eternal City, where both glorious success and shameful defeat have
left visible traces throughout. You may want to visit some of Rome's many treasures:
The Pantheon, the Colosseum and Spanish Steps, as well as the treasures of Vatican City.
Livorno
(Florence/Pisa) Italy - At this port we have access to the best of Tuscany:
Florence, with its magnificent art and architecture and elegant shopping; Pisa's Leaning
Tower; and the ancient medieval town of Lucca!
Monte
Carlo, Monaco - Home of the royal Grimaldi family, and a principality of fairytale
beauty. Highlights include the Grand Casino, Royal Palace, and chic French
boutiques.
Golfe de Porto (Les Calanques) -
We will enjoy scenic cruising past deep narrow
inlets, sort of Provencal fiords, in the rocky cliffs along the coast between Cassis and
Marseilles. The calanques were formed by rivers flowing into the sea,
submerged eons ago by the rising level of the Mediterranean. The long narrow inlets
in the high white rocks are truly impressive, some with tiny harbors or beaches at the
ends, and rock climbers scaling the walls along the sides.
Barcelona,
Spain - One of Europe's most dynamic cities, Barcelona offers Antoni Gaudi's
modernista architecture, Picasso and Miró museums, and great
people-watching on Las Ramblas, the city's main walking boulevard.

Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain - Palma is the major city and port
on the island of Majorca and capital city of the autonomous community of the Balearic
Islands in Spain. Among Palma's lovely sights are the Gothic-style Bellver Castle, a
13th century cathedral, and the Almudaina Palace, once home to Mallorcan kings.

La Goulette (Tunis and Carthage),
Tunisia - La Goulette is the port for Tunis and Carthage. Tunis is the
capital of Tunisia, the northernmost African country, but the city feels neither
Arab nor African. It's a place where old and new mix without any seeming conflict,
in both the architecture (with Moorish and French influences) and way of life. Carthage
was a Phoenician colony located in what is now the country of Tunisia about 15
kilometers from the capital city of Tunis. It was founded about 814 BC, by colonists
from Tyre--the Roman poet Vergil's "the Aenead" says it was founded by Dido the Wanderer.
Carthage was sacked at the end of the Punic Wars by Rome in 146 BC and then colonized
again in 105 BC by Augustus. Intact elements of the Roman occupation are still
standing, and excavations have identified archaeological remains from the Punic, Roman,
Byzantine and Vandal occupations.

Palermo, Sicily, Italy - Palermo is
a historic city in southern Italy, the capital of the autonomous region called Sicily.
The city is noted for its rich history, culture, architecture and gastronomy, playing an
important role throughout much of its existence; it is over 2700 years old. Palermo
has a noteworthy architectural heritage. You will see traces of Roman, Arab and
Norman influences mixed here!
Naples, Italy
- Naples is the capital city of the Italian region of Campania, and of the province of
Naples. It is located halfway between two volcanic areas, the volcano Mount Vesuvius
and the Phlegraean Fields, sitting on the coast by the Gulf of Naples. The city has
a long history of producing a variety of famous dishes and wines. While here you may
wish to sample pizza in the city in which it was created!
